Demi Holleman is Product Owner at Portbase, where she works within the Hinterland domain. With a master's degree in Media, she made her entry into the IT world through a traineeship — before joining Portbase she worked as a software engineer in the financial sector, where she built up expertise in cybersecurity.
At Portbase, Demi is responsible for managing a broad landscape of stakeholders and users of Portbase's services, driving the further development of those services together with her team, and continuously improving underlying processes. She thrives on the combination of complex, systemic challenges and working with and for people — a combination she encounters every day in her role.
Navigating environments where every party brings its own goals, interests and perspectives is at the heart of what Demi does. She brings both analytical rigour and genuine curiosity to those situations, always looking for the solution that creates the most value for the community as a whole — not just for individual parties at the table.
In complex supply chains, stakeholders often have different goals, priorities, and interests. This interactive workshop explores the role of neutral community management in bringing parties together to solve shared challenges.
After a brief introduction to Portbase's role as a community manager, participants will work through a case exercise where each person represents a stakeholder with their own perspective and interests. Through discussion and collaboration, the group will seek a common solution to a supply chain problem — while learning the importance of looking beyond individual interests and focusing on the broader value for the community as a whole.
