We believe the transitions facing the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area — energy, AI, talent, the port, governance — don't land on their own. They land because people look beyond the walls of their own organisation and work together. That's exactly why we started Next Gen Festival: not a traditional conference, not an inspiration theatre, but a day where young professionals, businesses and government actually seek each other out. A cooperative bank working from that same idea fits precisely with what we're building.
As main partner, Rabobank commits to the festival for the next three years. From 2027, a Rabobank representative will also join the program committee, helping shape the content and direction of the next edition — a role that goes well beyond putting a logo on a banner.
On Friday 28 August 2026, around 400 young professionals from business, government and knowledge institutions will gather at UP Events Amsterdam. The program translates the Draghi report, the Wennink report and the Dutch AI Deltaplan into what these agendas concretely mean for this region, told by the people working on them every day.
"Having Rabobank commit to Next Gen Festival for three years, and take a seat at the table in shaping our program, is exactly the kind of partnership we were looking for. This is what meaningful partnership looks like to us: organisations that share the same belief in this region, committing to it structurally, not just for a day."
Renko de Vries, Community en Eventmanager, ORAM
"What struck us about this program is how concrete it is: not policy talk, but the people actually doing the work on energy, talent and the port. That's the conversation we want to be part of, and help shape going forward."
Quirien Dubbeldam (Sales Intelligence Manager) & Martijn de Leeuw (Strategic Business Manager), YoungRabo committee West
More announcements on the program, speakers and joint activations with Rabobank will follow in the coming months.
