About Frankey

Seeing what others walk past — and making them stop.

Frankey is a Dutch street artist who has spent years turning the everyday into something worth looking at twice. His work lives in public space — small, precise interventions that invite passersby to pause, reconsider, and smile. The humour is intentional. So is the disruption.

He doesn't announce his work. He places it. And then he watches what happens when people encounter something that doesn't quite fit — and find that it fits perfectly.

His practice has taken him far beyond the streets of the Netherlands, with exhibitions and projects internationally recognised for their wit and their ability to make the familiar feel strange in the best possible way.

Role at the Festival

Opening Keynote — You've Been Looking at This Wrong.

Date August 28, 2026
Duration 15 minutes
Location UP Events Amsterdam — Main Stage
Format Keynote — All Stages

Frankey opens ORAM Next Gen Festival 2026. Not with a welcome speech — but with a keynote that makes you question how you have been looking at things. In 15 minutes, he uses unexpected combinations and real examples to show what happens when you stop thinking in straight lines.

All stages stop. The entire room is together for the first and only time. When he finishes, the chair of the day closes with a single line: "That's how we work today. Not from your job title — from what you see."

It sets the tone for everything that follows: a day built not on authority, but on perspective.
